POSTAGE AND HANDLING FEES:
Postage for mailing out a license plate will increase to $5.00.
Postage for renewals receiving decals and/or registrations, i.e. transfers will remain at $2.00.

Dealer and Financial Institutions

In order to comply with a new State Statute, the Rutherford County Clerk's Office performs an office wide assessment of the Internal Controls over our financial operations.  One of the items that emerged from the assessment was the need to strengthen our controls of how we process dealer work and bulk paperwork, etc.

Therefore, effective September 1, 2016, the Rutherford County Clerk's Office will require a separate check per deal for the exact amount.

NOTE:  If paperwork or check is not correct, the deal will be returned.
