Drug Court Staff

Trey King – Recovery Court Coordinator
Trey joined the Rutherford County Recovery Court as the Coordinator in January 2015. He has a BS in Criminal Justice Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. Prior to joining the Rutherford County Recovery Court, Trey worked for the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office as a Criminal Investigator. Trey has also served on the board of directors for the Rutherford County Support Foundation, a nonprofit entity that helps to support the Rutherford County Recovery Court.  A native Tennessean and long time resident of Rutherford County, Trey and his wife have three children.


Anthony Yanis - Drug Court Case Manager/Monitor
Anthony has been working for the Rutherford County Recovery Court since July of 2013.  Prior to Recovery Court, Anthony has been employed by the Department of Children’s Service (Juvenile Justice), the New York City Board of Education, and Goodstein Management.

Jamie McKee- Recovery Court Case Manager
Jamie joined Rutherford Country Drug Court in September of 2015. She has a B.S. in psychology from MTSU. She lives in Murfreesboro with her husband and two sons.

Melissa Kilpatrick – Recovery Court Case Manager

Melissa joined the Rutherford County Recovery Court in October 2015. She will graduate with a BSW in May of 2016 from Belmont University. In addition to her University studies she is currently under supervision and in pursuit of a LADAC licensure, (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor). Prior to joining the Rutherford County Recovery Court, Melissa followed her passion volunteering her time weekly at a transitional living facility here in Nashville, Tennessee. Melissa’s volunteer work has enhanced her ability and skills set in order to properly facilitate gender specific addiction recovery groups. She is driven, passionate and dedicated to work with those suffering with the disease of addiction. Melissa has a family home in Rockvale, Tennessee and currently resides in Murfreesboro with her two children.

Gayle Emery - Adult Drug Court Therapist
Gayle has been a therapist with Drug Court since January, 2001.   She has a BS in Early Childhood Education from MTSU and a MA in Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee and has been working as a mental health professional for 23 years.  Gayle is a native of Murfreesboro.  She and her husband have 6 children and 11 grandchildren.

Kelly Lane - Administrative Assistant
Kelly started with the Recovery Courts in May of 2013.  She has a background in legal assisting and administrative support for over 17 yrs.  

Kay Haskell - DUI and Family Treatment Counselor
Kay came on board in January 2008 as the Counselor for the DUI and Family Treatment Court Programs. She has a BS in social work from MTSU and is a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor (LADAC) who has worked in the alcohol and drug treatment field for over twenty-five years. A native Tennessean, Kay and her husband have two daughters and two granddaughters.
