Rutherford County is building a new Judicial Complex to replace its existing outdated and undersized Judicial building. The structure will be situated three blocks north of the square and will face West Lytle Street, bordered by North Maple Street and North Church Street. The 6 story building will cost $73 million and will initially house 10 courtrooms. The project also includes a 4 level parking garage just southeast of the building that will accommodate 360 vehicles. Demolition of existing structures on the properties will begin October 18, 2015. The project is expected to be complete by April of 2018.
