Review your 2025 Benefits before you enroll

Make sure you know what your benefits will look like in 2025 before you dive in. Look through your 2025 Benefit Guide and watch the Rutherford County Benefits Overview video for an informative tour of your benefits.

Where and How to Enroll
Log into MyBenefitsChannel to complete your 2025 enrollments. Even if you don't have any changes you want to make, it's a good idea to take this opportunity to make sure you know what you're enrolled in and to review and update your beneficiaries. If you're not sure how to navigate the enrollment process, you can follow these step-by-step enrollment instructions.

You cannot use a cell phone to finalize your enrollments in MyBenefitsChannel. You will need to use a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet. Remember, you have not completed your enrollment until you reach the Review/Sign Forms page and sign it with your PIN (last four of your SSN followed by the last two digits of your birth year).

If you are enrolled in a Healthcare or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account and want to continue your enrollment into 2025, you'll need to log into MyBenefitsChannel and re-enroll for 2025. Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account enrollments are not passive and do not roll over into the next plan year without action from you.

If you've forgotten your MyBenefitsChannel login credentials, choose Forgot Login and follow the prompts. If you continue having access issues, call MyBenefitsChannel at 800-435-5023 and choose option 2.

what you need to know about Dependent Verification
When you enroll your spouse or children in medical, dental, and/or vision benefits, you'll need to provide verification for them as described below. Take a look at the eligibility guidelines and required documentation and submit the appropriate documents to the Insurance & Risk Management Department at [email protected] NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER, 30, 2024. You can send your documents as PDFs or pictures. If you don't provide verification for your dependents by November 30, 2024, you won't be able to cover them.
  • Each year you cover your spouse on your medical insurance, you'll need to complete and return the Spousal Healthcare Eligibility Affidavit no later than November 30, 2024. Remember, your spouse is only eligible to be covered by your medical plan if they are not offered employer group medical coverage that meets Affordable Care Act (ACA) guidelines through their employer.
  • If you're only covering your spouse on dental and/or vision, or if you are covering your children on medical, dental, and/or vision, you only need to provide verification documents the first year you enroll them.

Will Murfreesboro Medical Clinic Be In-Network with Cigna in 2025?

Unless Cigna and Murfreesboro Medical Clinic (MMC) reach an agreement to renew their contract before the end of the year, MMC will NOT be in-network for the Open Access Plus (OAP) or LocalPlus (LP) networks beginning January 1, 2025. The Rutherford County Insurance & Risk Management Department will keep employees up to date through our website with any new information on MMC's 2025 network status as it becomes available.

If you are currently in treatment for a condition at MMC or will be in treatment for a condition before the end of the year, you may qualify for Transition of Care or Continuity of Care. Click here to learn more about Transition of Care, Continuity of Care, qualification guidelines, and how to apply. Applications must be submitted to Cigna.
