Life Insurance Plan

Rutherford County provides eligible employees a $35,000 term life and AD&D insurance policy as part of the benefit package. Beginning January 1, 2026, Rutherford County's employer-provided term life and AD&D insurance will increase to $50,000.

Eligible employees may purchase additional life insurance on themselves, a spouse, a domestic partner, or their child(ren). Any and all additional coverage is subject to plan guidelines as stated in the life insurance policy.
