Long Term Disability

Rutherford County provides eligible employees a Long Term Disability insurance plan as part of the benefit package.

The Long Term Disability plan insures two-thirds of your eligible earnings, up to a maximum of $6,000 per month. There is a 180 day waiting period before benefits become payable.

 Short Term Disability

Rutherford County offers voluntary Short Term Disability coverage through The Standard effective January 01, 2021. Short Term Disability insurance replaces a portion of your pay for up to 180 days if you can't work because of an illness, non-work-related injury, or pregnancy.
