Diabetic Education

Education and counseling are available to both diabetics and those at high risk for the disease by a team composed of a registered nurse, registered dietitian, and health educator.

Diabetes Self-Management Classes
With a provider’s referral, we offer classes that provide information on the following American Association of Diabetic Educators (AADE) self-care topics:

  • Healthy eating
  • Being active
  • Monitoring blood sugars
  • Taking medications
  • Problem solving
  • Reducing risks

Healthy Coping
Our goal is to empower our patients with the self-care management skills necessary to improve their quality of life, using what they have learned through diabetes self–management education.

Pre-diabetes and Diabetes Classes
