What Should I Not Bring?
- Pets
- Flammable liquids
- Heat producing items such as coffee pots, electric blankets, space heaters, and microwaves.
- Tobacco products and lighters
- Refrigerators
- Power strips and extension cords
- Valuable personal property such as heirloom jewelry. We encourage residents to send these types of items home with family because confused residents may not have the ability to understand that an item is not theirs since everything in their home was theirs. Residents tend to hide items for safe keeping or leave items like cash in pockets which ends up in the laundry.
