Rutherford County Breaks Ground on Regional Forensic Center
Rutherford County broke ground on the Regional Forensic Center, a $15 million, state-of-the-art facility housed on a 10-acre site located at 206 I Street in Smyrna.
Mayor Joe Carr joined many Commission members, municipal officials, representatives from Congressman Scott DesJarlais' office, members of the Rutherford County, Tennessee Delegation, Jamie Dickerson (mother of April Holt), and various departments at the groundbreaking.
The center is expected to be completed and operational by the first quarter of 2027.
