Rutherford County Fire Rescue Donates Fire Engine to Rockvale High School Fire Service Program

Rutherford County - TN (July 28, 2026) Rutherford County Fire Rescue donated a fire engine to the Rockvale High School Fire Management and Science program. 

The fire engine is fully operational with water pumping systems, hoses and gears and will be housed at the newly built Emergency Services building at Rockvale High School.    

Rutherford County Fire Rescue Chief Larry Farley believes the donation will spark interest in the students to become first responders. 

“I’m hoping this will get the students excited about being in emergency response,”  Farley said. “They will be able to have hands on experience and know the physical requirements needed to be a first responder.  I’m honored to be able to serve the community in this capacity.”

The program under the direction of Robert Gingrow started in 2023 and allows students to prepare for real world careers while completing their high school course work.
