Rutherford County Fire Marshal Issues Statement Regarding Accurate Energetic Systems Explosion

Rutherford County - TN (October 11, 2025) At the request of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, Rutherford County Fire Marshal Joshua Sanders responded to the Accurate Energetic Systems Explosion in McEwen, Tennessee, on Friday in conjunction with his role in the ATF Arson and Explosives Task Force.  Rutherford County Fire & Rescue Captain/Investigator William Steele is assisting with the investigation. 

Accurate Energetic Systems is an explosives manufacturer near Bucksnort.  Fire Marshal’s Office Investigators will continue to support the investigation through its conclusion.
