Rutherford County Fire and Rescue Responds to Structure Fire on Compton Road

Rutherford County - TN (March 11, 2025) Rutherford County Fire and Rescue (RCFR), responded to a residential fire on Compton Road in Murfreesboro this morning around 3:00 am.    

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire coming from the roof of the structure. Firefighters worked quickly to bring the blaze under control, preventing further damage.

The homeowners were inside at the time of the fire but were able to escape safely and without injury.

Murfreesboro Fire Rescue, Rutherford County Emergency Medical Service and the Rutherford County

Sheriff’s Office also responded to assist. The American Red Cross is providing support to the displaced residents.

Investigators from the Rutherford County Fire Marshal's Office responded to the scene and conducted an investigation.  At the conclusion of that investigation, the fire was classified as accidental.
