Rutherford County Fire Rescue Responds to Outbuilding Fire off Manchester Pike
Rutherford
County Fire and Rescue responded to an outbuilding fire in the area of the
7000-block of Ridley Earp Road at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December
8.
Crews encountered significant challenges
accessing the property due to difficult terrain and limited entry points. Upon
reaching the scene, firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control.
During suppression efforts, responders
discovered one deceased individual inside the structure. Identification of the
victim is pending and will not be released until the completion of the medical
examiner’s autopsy and notification of next of kin.
The cause of the fire remains under active
investigation by the Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office in coordination
with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
Rutherford County Emergency Medical Service
and Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency also responded to the scene
to support operations. Rutherford County PAWS was called to assist with the
care of several dogs located on the property.
