PAWS to Host Free Rabies Vaccine Day for Rutherford County Pets, Thanks to ASPCA Grant

MURFREESBORO, TN — Rutherford County PAWS is pleased to announce an upcoming Free Rabies Vaccine Day for local pets, made possible by a generous National Shelter Initiative grant from the ASPCA. This special event will take place on Wednesday, August 20th at PAWS, and the free rabies vaccinations will be offered to the first 200 pets from Rutherford County.

To maximize community participation, the shelter will open early exclusively for vaccinations, operating on a first-come, first-served basis from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For the first half of the day, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, only rabies vaccines will be administered. Regular shelter operations, including adoptions, will resume at 12:00 PM, and free vaccinations will continue until 4:00 PM or until the 200-pet limit is reached.
