Operations Division

The Operations Division of the Rutherford County Fire Rescue Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue operations, and hazardous materials response throughout unincorporated Rutherford County.

The Operations Division consists of 97 uniformed personnel divided among three shifts working out of Stations 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, & 60 on a 24/7/365 basis. Other stations listed are staffed by volunteer personnel when possible. Operations Division personnel work a 48-hour on-duty/96-hour off-duty shift schedule. Each shift is led by a Shift Commander. Each crew or "Company" is led by a Captain.
