Must be at least 18 years of age without a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate to take the HiSET exam. Adult Education (AE) empowers individuals to become self-sufficient by providing the basic skills and knowledge necessary to complete a secondary education. Tennessee Adult Education provides basic skills upgrades and works with individuals to help them meet their educational and career goals. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development administers our Career Coach ...which is a mobile center with services similar to what you might find in a Tennessee Career Center. The Career Coach will also come on site to provide a mobile computer lab with internet access; create a venue for workshops including résumé assistance and interviewing skills; and serve as a recruitment center for companies moving into our state.
