
LaChelle Ricks
Recovery Court Director
LaChelle Ricks is a graduate of Liberty University, in Lynchburg VA, where she received her Bachelor’s in Psychology. She then went on to obtain her Masters in Mental Health and Counseling from University of Phoenix. LaChelle has a heart for criminal justice and underserved populations. She has been working in the field of mental health for 15 years starting in Raleigh NC working at a group home for youths with behavioral issues. She then went on to work at the state correctional facility in Baltimore MD for 5 years as an addictions counselor. LaChelle moved to TN in 2014 where she started working at the Mental Health Cooperative doing case management. She transitioned to the Mental Health Court position in December of 2016 where she created, implemented and coordinated the program in Rutherford County until August of 2021. She worked briefly coordinating and revamping the Mental Health Court in Williamson County until returning to Rutherford County to become the current Director. LaChelle enjoys spending time with her husband and infant daughter when not working, as well as with friends and family.
