Rutherford County Landfill

The Rutherford County Landfill is a service that is open to the public. The landfill accepts brush and tires only. No other waste materials are accepted at this location.

The Landfill is closed on Rutherford County Holidays.

Information
The Rutherford County Landfill, not to be confused with the Middle Point Landfill, is the Rutherford County-operated Class III/IV Landfill.

Public Notices

• Effective July 1, 2018, all residents and commercial will be charged for tires and brush.
• Starting February 23, 2018, the Rutherford County Landfill will no longer accept construction or demolition materials.
• The Rutherford County Landfill will only continue to accept brush and off-the-rim tires.
• Brush is $30.00 a ton. Paper trimmings bags are not accepted.
• All tires are $2.00 per tire. Have an accurate count of the number of tires before arrival. For anyone with a large load of tires, please feel free to contact Liberty Tire at (404) 355-0547 or by fax at (844) 561-7958. They are located in Atlanta, GA.
