Cigna is the provider of record for the Medical Insurance plans as offered by the Rutherford County Government.

You can use the Cigna Easy Choice Tool to help you decide which medical plan is right for you and your family.


To find out if a doctor or provider is in network, please follow the steps below: 

  • Log into myCigna.com or the myCigna app
  • Choose Find Care & Costs

          OR, if you have not registered with a myCigna account or have not yet enrolled in a Rutherford County plan

  • Go to Cigna.com
  • Click on "Find a Doctor"
  • Choose "Employer or School"
  • Enter your city or zip code
  • Choose how you want to search: "Doctor by Type", "Doctor by Name", or "Health Facilities and Group Practices"
  • Enter a description in the search bar (ex: doctor, hospital, etc.) and click "Search"
  • Enter your city or zip code again and select "Continue"
  • Choose medical network "LocalPlus" or "Open Access Plus, OA plus, Choice Fund OA Plus" to view in-network providers
